The hyphae index exists to document how flour and water are consumed when exposed to Air
The Hyphae index was created a response to the question "What is a garden?"
When thinking of the notion of a garden, ideas such as being manicured, growing food for sustenance and being catered to human ideals of beauty and curation came to mind.
With that in mind, I thought about what would it be like if I was to subvert the conventional approaches and ideas of gardening. What would it be if i reversed the roles of the garden and create a garden that gives back to nature? The project evolved into an idea of using a widely produced agricultural product ,Grain, in its most commodified form through human intervention and use it to create a garden of growth that begins with a process of decay.
By taking a product that has gone through a laborious process and allowing it to decay, it gives birth to mould, which in turn brings the cycle into a process of reversion to its initial and most basic form.
